Almond Stollen: The fine difference

Compared to the original Raisin Stollen, it is hardly noticeable from the outside that the Almond Stollen is different. It also has the typical, elongated shape and is wonderfully covered with a thick layer of icing sugar. Its secret only reveals itself when cut: there is no trace of a sultana to be found! But it also knows how to delight with a special taste. It is made from almonds, which give it that delicate marzipan aroma.

You can hardly resist this! And that is a good thing - because unlike the normal Stollen, which has a long shelf life due to the high sugar content of the sultanas, this preservative effect is unfortunately missing here. That is why it is best to keep it in the refrigerator and eat it within 4 weeks. A task which in our experience should not prove too difficult.

The right one for everyone

Admittedly, anyone who runs a single household or simply does not have a sweet tooth will probably have some difficulty in eating a large, 2 kg almond stollen on their own.
